Oracle 10g, 10gAS Now Available For Linux, Unix

February 20th, 2004 by Mark Rittman

All of the Oracle 10g infrastructure components are now available for
download on OTN, for Linux, HP-UX and Sun Solaris.

I’ve just finished putting in the Oracle Database 10g on my Red Hat 9.0 PC
(after following Werner Puschitz’s excellent installation
cookbook
) and it went in without any problems. Red Hat 9.0 isn’t a supported
platform (you should really go for RHAS2.1 or 3.0, or use United Linux 1.0) but
the installation went through perfectly - well done to Oracle.
