I have been trying to evaluate compressed composites in 10gR1 &#38; now in R2.  Using the sample schema, from your performance tips atricle (part 1) I have tried to get the same results without luck.   I had to generate some extra data for the fact table (about 400k rows), but I find the GSW AW using the compressed template takes twice as long as the regular sparse template.  I was testing on a windows 2GB RAM,2 cpu machine, on 10.2.0.3.   The only time I have seen any improvement (only slight) was by taking channel out of the CC.  I seen many forum posts regarding CC&#039;s but as yet have not seen the results myself.  What could I be doing wrong.? I thought by using your example it should ensure I can see similar results.
