Mary Ann Davidson : The British Are Criminals

According to Oracle’s Mary Ann Davidson, the British are particularly good
at hacking (Oracle software, presumably) because we have
"the perfect temperament to be hackers–technically skilled, slightly
disrespectful of authority, and just a touch of criminal behavior."
That’s nice then. You’ll all have to watch your wallets when I come over to

Yes, we’ll probably be on that list soon of countries that aren’t allowed to download Oracle software. “If you are under the control of the governments of North Korea, Syria, Iran, Great Britain…”
I think actually that it was a bit of a backhanded complement, actually, and probably more to do with people such as David Litchfield that have been causing headaches for Oracle. Still, it’s a bit of a broad-brush generalisation though …

I think Oracle’s “ethical hacker” security team is primarily based out of TVP in the UK too…
