OOW2006 Blogger Meetup : Tuesday 24th October, Thirsty Bear Brewing Company, 7pm

September 18th, 2006 by Mark Rittman

Thirsty BearOn the basis that Tuesday and Wednesday seem the most popular days, and we don’t want to leave the
blogger event until too late in the week, I’d like to propose the
evening of Tuesday October 24th, from 7.00pm, for the 2nd Annual Open
World Blogger Meetup.

Having taken a look through Wikitravel
for decent bars in San Francisco to meet up, the “Thirsty Bear Brewing
Company”
is just around the corner from the Moscone,
has lots of draft beers, does food as well and seems pretty
good. Again, add a comment if you’re looking to come along, and if you’re looking to meet up with Elton later on (Andrew) you can always sneak off a bit early.

    best regards,

  7. Laurent Schneider Says:

Definitely a good choice of yours! I “visited” that place last year.
    I will be there !
    Thanks for organizing this,
    Laurent

  8. joel garry Says:

Give the Thirsty Bear a call. I believe that is the place that another group was to meet last year, having met there the year before… and it was closed for a private party by yet another group. I think one or two people may have missed out in the confusion of moving elsewhere. Like getting an ORA-904 in dynamic sql because you aren’t a member of the group with privilege, and when others doesn’t send you to the right place.

  9. lutz hartmann Says:

    Hi Mark,
I would really love to come to the blogger meeting, but I am afraid, I can’t!
Have to produce revenue for OU.
    =;-)
    keep on blogging!

  10. Susan Says:

    I’ll be there too

  11. Eddie Awad Says:

  12. Peter K Says:

Will add it to my schedule…

  13. Peter K Says:

Just realized that Tuesday is the Oracle big gala at the Cow Palace and Sir Elton John is performing…are you guys sure that Tuesday is the bloggers’ meeting?

  14. R. Whaley Says:

Is this open to OraBlog readers as well?
I was already thinking of going to the thirsty bear just to check it out, but if some of my favorite sites’ authors will be there I might as well stop by and check it out then.

  15. clemens utschig Says:

    of course :D

  16. mark Says:

    R. Whalley - yes, you can come, as long as you start an Oracle blog before then ;-)

  17. Dave Says:

I would love to come. But I am now reading this for the first time at 7:30
