I called the venue last week and made a booking for 15 people, although I’m not sure what it is I’ve booked – a meal, a room or what, as they didn’t say, but what I’m hoping for is just some space to meet up, a bit of finger food and so on. I’ll drop them an email again today to try and firm things up. If we organize food, there’ll obviously be a cost – unless someone wants to sponsor the evening? – which should be no more than $20 or $30, less if we can just organize a buffet. Anyway, if others want to come (and you’ve got an Oracle blog) let me know, otherwise see you on the Tuesday.

Maybe he’s been to a lot of kiddie’s birthday parties recently and has developed a passion for sausages on sticks or jelly and ice-cream!!

And what’s wrong with them?
You missed the cheese and pineapple on cocktail sticks. I don’t like cheese myself but Tim was right – they’re a classic!
