This is very helpful!  A few questions for you:
-	Is your physical diagram just showing joins related to your agg Sales Fact table?  If you were to show the entire physical schema would you see the Time_Dim and Channel_Dim also joined to the un-aggregated Sales fact table?
-	Could you also create this by using SQL statements in the physical layer to create your agg tables instead of physically creating the tables in the DB?  What are your thoughts on this approach?

My issue:  I have a balance fact table with dimensions account, company, period, currency and need to create a gross sales total for the company, period, currency dimensions to compare to all corresponding fact records.  Is aggregate table the best way to handle this?  It does not seem to be possible within answers.
