Rittman Mead Open for Business in the USA

Over the past three years, Rittman Mead have worked with clients in the UK and around Europe on business intelligence and data warehousing projects. We’ve grown our team to eight people and built up what I believe is the best Oracle BI consulting and training delivery practice in Europe. However, one thing that we have constantly been asked about since we started, is whether we can provide help for customers based in the USA and Canada. In the past, as we’re a UK company this has not been possible, but I’m now pleased to announce that effective from now, Rittman Mead has an office in the United States of America, with a local team of consultants ready to work with you.
Opening up in the States is something we’ve always wanted to do, but we wanted to make sure we had the right people on board before we got things started. As such, I’d like to introduce Joe Leva, who’ll be our Managing Director in the USA, and Stewart Bryson, who’ll be our Technical Director, and together we’ll gradually build up a larger team of US-based consultants specializing in Oracle BI Enterprise Edition, Hyperion, Oracle data warehousing and project delivery. Jon and I have known Joe and Stewart for several years; Joe and I originally met at an ODTUG conference, whilst Stewart and Jon have worked together on projects in the past. Jon and I will also be supporting our new operations in the USA, and to start things off we are planning to run one of our “Training Days” events in New York later in the year, led by myself and with contributions from Joe and Stewart.
We will all also be attending Collaborate’09 in May, where Joe, Borkur and I are presenting and discussing new projects with customers. We’re very excited about this new opportunity, and I’m looking forward to coming over to work with Joe and Stewart to get the business off to a great start. Congratulations! I’m glad you were able to get things lined up and kick it off. I know starting a new business (or subsidiary, in your case) is challenging and you have my best wishes on a successful year!

Richard – we’re planning to run something in June, in New York, so keep an eye on the blog for more news on this.
Shyam – we’ll focus on the whole country, there won’t be a particular focus on any specific area. Our team is mobile and will work wherever the client is located.
