Oracle BI Meetup at Oracle Open World – Monday, 12th October, 7pm, Thirsty Bear
September 11th, 2009 by Mark Rittman
UPDATE: The venue has changed to Johnny Foleys, in O’Farrell Street.
I’m organizing an Oracle BI meetup for Oracle Open World, on Monday 12th October at 7pm at the Thirsty Bear Bar and Restaurant, San Francisco.
The bar is just down the road from the Moscone Center and serves some excellent beer, tapas etc. The offer is open to all speakers, delegates, partners Oracle folks and so on who are working with Oracle’s BI, DW and EPM products. The idea is for us to get together, share thoughts on what we’re doing with Oracle BI, compare notes on Open World and do a bit of networking. Rittman Mead will buy the first round and we’ll be starting from 7pm, just after the session that Venkat and I are running on Oracle BI EE and Essbase.
If you can make it, it be good to see you. My cell number is +44 7866 568246 if you need to call for any reason. We’ll go on to around 10pm, OTN night is also on that night so you can pop in and out, hopefully we’ll see some of you there. I haven’t booked a specific room so just look for us near the bar and in the seating area on the ground floor.

I’m focused more on the database technologies rather than the BI technologies, but I wish all of you a good gathering. Will you be attending the general blogger meetup on Tuesday night?
