Oracle EPM 11.1.2 – Finally released and available on E-Delivery

After checking non-stop for the last couple of weeks, finally managed to start the download of EPM 11.1.2. Yes, its officially released for download now and is available in E-Delivery.
Some of the significant new features in this release are
1. Oracle Financial Close Manager
2. Oracle Essbase Analytics Link in HFM (was available in 11.1.1.3 itself but enhanced now)
3. Oracle Hierarchy/Dimension Management from within Oracle Applications
4. New Planning Modules – For Public Sector
5. Smart-View Enhanced – Lot more powerful now like closer Planning forms integration etc
6. Tasks integration with Outlook
7. Hyperion DRM – Completely Web based now
8. Clustering of Essbase
9. SSO with Oracle SSO in Essbase
10. Mgmt packs for Essbase
11. Footnotes & XBRL tagging in HFR
12. Enhancements to Hyperion Planning – Web Based Form Conditional Formatting etc
Not all the features are covered in the list above. But i will start covering them hopefully in the coming weeks.

I just downloaded and started to install EPM 11.1.2 but I’ve noticed an issue (not sure if its indeed an issue or something I’m doing wrong). I downloaded the Essbase packages (1 and 2) but just noticed that the installer doesn’t recognize the Essbase server and doesn’t allow me to choose the Essbase Server to install. I’ve checked the Essbase_services assembly folder and just noticed that the .dat file only has 50M of size, while in version 11.1.1.3 it had around 540M, so I think there’s something wrong with that.
Did you face the same issue?

I have the same issue on Windows 2008 R2 x64. I will try on W2K8 SP2 to see, if I have the same problem ..

It does not come from W2K8 R2, but, you must unzip the staticContent :
