IT Technical Support Analyst (UK)
Within our Support and Managed Services team we are looking for a Technical Support Analyst, based in Brighton. The available role has two main responsibilities; build and maintain key infrastructure appliances and be first line support for internal staff and external clients. As Rittman Mead continues to grow there will be new and exciting opportunities that could be added to this role
Infrastructure:
With a growing organisation the need for managed internal applications is paramount. The successful candidate will need to build and manage training and demo environments. They will also be responsible for supporting the hardware and systems in the office and at our data center in London.
Support:
With increasing demands in Business Intelligence our clients are seeking support contracts to mirror the first class consulting service our reputation is based on. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of this support matrix by delivering first line support. Activities will range from answering quick questions and co-ordinating a range of people to solve complex issues.
Successful candidates will have the following skills and experience:
- Linux (RHEL/ OEL) OS 2yrs+.
- Active Directory/ LDAP.
- Hypervisor technologies for running virtual machines (Promox, VMware Fusion, VirtualBox).
- Cloud hosting (Rackspace, AWS) .
- Networks and Internet administration such as DHCP, DNS.
- Telephony admin including Landlines, Skype, Mobile.
- Administration of internal and cloud applications.
- Providing good estimates for work being carried out by yourself, and team members.
- Acting as client contact for support.
- Understanding the concept of, and being able to identify and raise, risks and issues.
- Interfacing with key internal staff, e.g. Consultants, Technical Architects, Managers on a day-to-day basis.
- Managing hours so that delivery time lines for the client are achieved.
- Ability to work alone and self manage.
Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA) Technical Consultant/Lead (UK/Europe)
Successful candidates will have the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of the end-to-end Oracle Business Intelligence architecture.
- Detailed knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence Applications technical component architecture.
- Experience of installing and configuring Oracle Business Intelligence Applications.
- Previous implementation experience in one of more of Financial Analytics, Procurement and Spend Analytics, Project Analytics, Sales and Marketing Analytics, Order Management & Fulfilment Analytics, HR.
- Previous experience and knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite R12 (specifically in one or more of AR, AP, GL, Projects, OM, Inventory) and/or Siebel CRM source systems.
- In depth knowledge of Informatica and the DAC.
- OBIEE 11.1.1.15 or above – advanced modelling, Weblogic, security (LDAP, SSO)
- Previous experience of developing customisations and extensions to out of box Oracle Business Intelligence Application installation
- Understand the EBS and/or authorisation methodology and how that is integrated in OBIEE
- Strong client facing skills
- Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and database tuning skills
- Technical documentation skills
Preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the following skills/areas of experience
- Broad knowledge of Business Intelligence toolsets and related methodologies

Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) Senior and Principal Technical Consultants (UK/Europe, and worldwide)
Rittman Mead are looking for several OBIEE Consultants at Senior and Principal level, mainly in the UK and Europe but also worldwide (US, India, Australia).
Successful candidates will have the following skills and experience:
- OBIEE 10g/11g implementation, configuration and support skills, gained from implementing projects on client sites (2yrs+ for Senior Consultants, 5yrs+ for Principal Consultants
- Eliciting and documenting customer business requirements
- Ability to attend, and sometimes to run, workshops to understand business requirements where further detail is needed
- Ability to transform business requirements into high level, and low level, technical designs
- Data warehouse data modeling, at both the 3NF foundation/process-neutral layer, and the dimensional performance layer
- Configuring the OBIEE BI Repository (RPD) at the physical, business model and presentation layers to meet business requirements
- Configuring OBIEE, WebLogic and Fusion Middleware to support integration with other systems, such as LDAP directory servers
- Strong SQL and/or MDX skills
- Performing unit tests and assisting with system and end-to-end testing
- Deploying OBIEE project elements into test and production environments
- Guiding other consultants and client personnel on best-practice techniques
- Identifying where OBIEE design decisions have wider impacts, and raising those as appropriate
- Communicating technical solutions to client and consulting staff in a clear and concise manner
- Interfacing with key client staff, e.g. business Analysts, architects, managers on a day-to-day basis
- Potentially acting as the most senior consultant at a client site, and managing the client relationship

Oracle Data Integration (ODI) Senior and Principal Technical Consultants (UK/Europe, and worldwide)
Successful candidates will have the following skills and experience:
- ODI 10g/11g implementation, configuration, installation and support skills, gained from implementing projects on client sites (2yrs+ for Senior Consultants, 5yrs+ for Principal Consultants)
- Understanding and experience of data analysis tools and techniques
- Understanding and experience of data quality tools, processes and procedures
- Ability to transform data integration requirements into high level, and low level, technical designs
- Data warehouse data modeling, at both the 3NF foundation/process-neutral layer, and the dimensional performance layer
- Developing ODI interfaces, packages, scenarios and load plans including debugging, performance testing and reading from file, queue, database and other sources
- Strong SQL skills including ability to identify and resolve performance and logical errors, and ability to perform root-cause analysis of database issues
- Performing unit tests and assisting with system and end-to-end testing
- Deploying ODI project elements into test and production environments
