New Oracle Magazine Article on OBIEE11g Action Framework

The March/April 2011 edition of Oracle Magazine is now out, and it includes my new article on the OBIEE11g Action Framework.

In the article, I walk through setting up the Action Framework to provide additional, contextual menu items to an OBIEE 11g analysis, giving users the ability to perform Google searches on a data item in a report, and to invoke a web service to initiate a credit hold. It uses the SampleApp dataset including Action Framework extras (which needs to be installed beforehand), but then takes you through to process of creating the various actions.

Next edition's article will be on OBIEE 11g MapViewer integration, including steps to link maps to other dashboard content via master-detail linking.
