The first ever Rittman Mead BI Forum is running from May 14th – 15th 2009, at the Brighton Hilton Metropole Hotel, Sussex, United Kingdom. Aimed at advanced and expert-level Oracle BI Enterprise Edition, Oracle Data Integrator and Oracle Essbase developers and consultants, the forum will focus on technical issues and implementation techniques around Oracle’s new BI, ETL and OLAP tools. With numbers limited to 50 and the first event of its kind, this is a unique opportunity to hear presentations from, and network with, Oracle Bi experts from around the world
Who will be presenting?
The list of speakers for the BI Forum reads like a “who’s who” of the Oracle BI World, and includes famous OBIEE bloggers Venkat Janakiraman, John Minkjan, Andreas Nobbmann and Adrian Ward, Oracle ACE Directors Edward Roske and Mark Rittman, OBIEE OTN forum participants such as Daan Bakboord plus Oracle’s Gerard Braat (OBIEE and Oracle BI Apps), Adam Bloom (Oracle BI Apps), Mike Durran (OBIEE) and Craig Stewart (ODI).
Forum Agenda
The event will officially open with a drinks reception at 6pm on Wednesday, 13th May, for those that can come down the night before. For those of you booking accomodation, your room will be available from 2pm on the 13th May and you will be staying for 2 nights, checking out by 12pm on Friday 15th May.
Sessions will start at 9am on Thursday and Friday, with coffee, tea and lunch served during the day. We will be hosting a gala meal at a restaurant in Brighton on the Thursday night, followed by drinks down by the seafront (and maybe even a trip to the famous Brighton Pier!)

Opportunities to Network
It won’t all be presentations and technical talk though. Set in Brighton, the Hilton Metropole Hotel is one of the South of England’s top hotels with the seaside city of Brighton just on your doorstep. On the evening before the first night, we’ll be hosting a drinks reception and an event keynote from Mark Rittman. Lunch and all refreshments are included, and on the night of the 14th May we’ll be hosting a meal for all conference attendees at a top restaurant in Brighton. There’ll also be ample opportunities to meet and interact with your peers in the Oracle BI industry, or you can just take a relaxing walk along Brighton’s famous pebble beach.
Who Should Attend?
The BI Forum is aimed at experienced developers using Oracle’s next-generation BI tools, specifically OBIEE, ODI and Essbase. Sessions will be at intermediate and advanced level, and will have a strong technical focus. If you’re the expert in your company at OBIEE, ODI or Essbase, and you’re interested in hearing how other experts are getting the most from these tools, this will be the event for you.
What Does It Cost?
- A 2-day Full Conference Pass costs £500 (waived for speakers)
- Optional 2 days accommodation at the Brighton Hilton Metropole is an additional £150 (you will be responsible for settling any extras).
