This course teaches delegates how to install, set up and configure the Oracle BI Applications 7.9.5 Fusion Edition using Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10 and R12 as a data source. Covering the the initial setup, data load and review of the core BI Applications modules, and with a particular focus on the Sales, Order Management and Financials modules, the course also then covers basic customizations of existing ETL mappings and the process used to create and register new mappings to bring in your own data and subject areas. Aimed at companies and organizations who are implementing the BI Applications and wish to train up their own internal team, as well as partners wishing to bring their implementation team up to speed quickly with this important new product from Oracle, the course covers the following areas, and runs over three days:

  • Installation and configuration of Oracle BI Applications 7.9.5 and Informatica PowerCenter 8.1.1
  • Introduction the DAC, and performing the initial data load using EBS 11.5.10 data
  • A review of the Oracle Business Analytics Warehouse and the BI Applications semantic model
  • An introduction to Informatica PowerCenter 8.1.1 with comparisons to Oracle Warehouse Builder
  • Creation of Category 1 customizations to add new attributes and measures to an existing data load
  • Creation of Category 2 customizations to add new facts and dimensions with corresponding new data loads
  • Bring customizations and new data objects into the DAC repository, and running the customized data load
  • Optimizing the ETL Process, Storage and User Queries
  • Discussion & Delegate Questions

This course is delivered on-site at your premises, minimizing your travel costs and staff time away from the office. The course includes slides and delegate notes, and we provide examples and demo data based on the Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10 “Vision” data set (Peoplesoft and Siebel data can be used if required).
