New Comments Disabled

I've had to block all new comments on this site, because of a huge increase in comment spam over the last few days. I've got the MT Blacklist plugin installed, but it only stops comment spam that's been previously reported, not the new ones that were coming through. I had over 500 posted today, and around 200 yesterday, and tonight it took me over an hour to remove them all and rebuilt the affected pages.

This is a real shame, and a bit like someone coming round and spray-painting adverts (mostly for porn sites) all over your house. I'm working on site at the moment and just haven't got time to remove them all each evening. I might re-enable them at some point later when things die down.
