Nicholas Goodman On The OWB “Paris” Data Profiler
Nicholas Goodman is running another article in his Oracle Warehouse Builder "Paris" early review series, this time on the data profiling feature within "Paris".
It's a pretty in-depth look at the profiling feature, and also comes with a number of screenshots that show off the new Oracle Business Intelligence 10g "look and feel". According to the article, "The new Data Profiling features of the upcoming OWB release will knock your socks off. Other new features are applicable, useful, and successfully augment the product and make it better. Data Profiling opens up a whole new world to OWB with it's wide applicability outside of Oracle Business Intelligence. In other words, readers should note that this feature is not just for OWB Developers but rather could merit firing up OWB purely to use this feature." You can read the rest here, and take a look at the rest of the series when you get a chance.
UPDATE: I've just noticed that Nicholas also recently ran another useful OWB article, this time on identifying long running and regularly called OWB mappings, that comes with a script that runs against the Runtime Schema. One to bookmark.
