I’m working over in Ireland

I'm working over in Ireland at the moment, and staying over in Dublin for the weekend, hence the lack of updates to the website this week. In the meantime, if you're coming to the UKOUG BIRT SIG meeting in London next week we've managed to sell out again, and this time we're in a bigger venue (the Institute of Physics) so it'll be interesting to see how it goes compared to our usual venue at Oracle's City office.

I've just also agreed to do a presentation at the UKOUG Scotland Event up in Edinburgh on 7th June, in the "End User / Applications" track (so no mention of Oracle OLAP patch levels or the differences between OWB "Paris" and OWB10g :-)). The presentation will be called ""An Introduction To Oracle Business Intelligence 10g", is aimed at a non-technical audience and has the synopsis:

"This presentation introduces Oracle's new Business Intelligence 10g product line, and shows how tools such as OracleBI Discoverer and the OracleBI Spreadsheet Add-in can be used to meet the reporting needs for the different types of end-user within the organisation."

The plan is to try and do a few product demos during the talk, concentrating on the end-user features within Discoverer "Drake" and the spreadsheet add-in. I noticed from the agenda that Mogens N rgaard, Doug Burns and Niall Litchfield are also speaking there, so I'll try and say hello (as long as I don't look like a stalker...)

Off to the Guinness Factory now...
