Rittman Mead at Oracle Open World 2009

It's just a few weeks now until Oracle Open World in San Francisco, and Rittman Mead will be attending both as speakers and, for the first time, with a booth in the main exhibition hall.

From the UK, we have myself, Jon Mead and Venkat coming over whilst the Joe Leva and Stewart Bryson are coming along from our US office. Here's the list of sessions we are presenting in the main conference:

  • #S312116: Deep Dive into Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition Support in Oracle BI Applications 7.9.5.2
    Sunday 11-OCT-09 14:00 - 15:00, Moscone West 2002
    Presented by Mark Rittman
  • #S308726 : Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Management Best Practices
    Monday 12-OCT-09 11:30 - 12:30, Moscone South 302
Presented by Mark Rittman and Amjad Afanah (Oracle BI Mgmt Pack Product Manager)
  • #S308723 : Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and Oracle Essbase Integration Deep Dive
    Monday 12-OCT-09 17:30 - 18:30, Moscone West 3011
Presented by Mark Rittman and Venkat Janakiraman

As well as the main conference, we'll also be presenting at the "Unconfererence", a set of sessions where slides are banned and there's lots of demos and audience interaction. Our plans are to present this unconference session:

  • What's new In Oracle Warehouse Builder 11gR2
    Wednesday 14-OCT-09, 14:00 - 15:00, Moscone West Overlook 2
Presented by Mark Rittman and Antonio Romero (OWB Product Manager)

As well as speaking at the conference, we're organizing an informal Oracle BI Meetup at the Thirsty Bear Bar and Restaurant, just down the road from the Moscone, from 7pm on Monday night (12th October). If you're around and you would like to meet up, discuss Oracle BI, discuss Open World and network with other Oracle BI customers, partners, developers etc, come along and we'll buy the first round.

I'm personally going over to Open World as part of the Oracle ACE Director program (thanks to Justin and the OTN team for this), and so I'll be at the ACE Director meal during the week and taking part in any other ACE activities.

Apart from all of this though, we've got our first stand at the Open World exhibition, and Venkat, myself, Jon and of course Joe and Stewart will be on-hand during various parts of the week to answer your questions and talk about your Oracle BI projects. We're at stand 124 in Moscone South so be sure to stop by if you get to the exhibition.

In the meantime, we've got lots of presentations to write, a booth to put together and it's all being repeated again a few weeks later at the UKOUG conference. This is always a hectic part of the year but we're all looking forward to it.
