Modernising Your Oracle Infrastructure

Date and time: Wednesday, May 17 · 2 - 5:30pm GMT

Location: Hilton Reykjavik Nordica 2 Suðurlandsbraut 108 Reykjavík Iceland

Do you have on-premises Oracle data management, applications or analytics software? What is the roadmap for these systems? Should I consider on-premises upgrade paths or migrate to the cloud? What is "cloud at customer"?

Join Rittman Mead to learn about Oracle's latest technology, migration options for existing on-premises systems and how to innovate using Oracle's unique infrastructure and platform services.

Agenda:

Modernising Data Management

The first session gives a brief history of data, its management, and processing. It looks at the drivers, trends and technological advances that have resulted in current trends like cloud, data lakes, data science, self-service reporting, and approaches like data mesh.

We then look at how this impacts today's data architecture and infrastructure. We examine how data engineering has evolved from traditional ETL to distributed, serverless data pipelines. We look at how databases and data stores have evolved to support multiple data formats, the role of microservices, low-code application development frameworks, data discovery and other consumption patterns.

Finally, we look at the Oracle cloud services and software available to support this transition.

New and Key Features

The second session dives into more detail about the features and functionality enabling this change.

We start by looking at some of the key benefits of the cloud, for example, agility, scalability and cost and how these are realised in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

We then look at some of the services in detail: the autonomous database (ADW and ATP), the new converged features of 23c, REST services in the database, data integration and pipelines, augmented analytics in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), low-code application development using APEX.

Innovating Through Data Science

During this session, we will explore the machine learning options available through three Oracle tools; Data Visualiser, Oracle Machine Learning (OML) notebooks in ADW, and OCI Data Science Platform. We'll cover topics including notebooks, python environments, and model deployment. By the end, you will better understand which service suits your specific needs.

Oracle Cloud Case Study

The final session is a customer success story featuring Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), APEX, data science and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).

Don't miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights and learn from the experts.
